Heart & Soul CDC is a 501c3 nonprofit organization located in the heart of North Philadelphia. Instituted in 2021, and serves as a branch of the Christian Tabernacle Church of Philadelphia, founded in 1953. Heart & Soul CDC was birthed out of the evident need for intervention, revitalization, and redevelopment of our community, systems, and quality of life. Heart & Soul CDC aims to provide effective and relevant programming, resources, and opportunity to promote economic, physical, and cognitive advancement in our community.

Promoting a culture of enrichment and forward progression, we aim to address and alleviate
the barriers marginalized and disadvantaged communities may face.
Our mission is to support the residents of our community by becoming a catalyst for
economic, social, physical, and mental growth and development with a faith-based
component. We aim to utilize a collaborative approach with community stakeholders to offer
resources to our community members.
We believe in the intersectionalities of social categorizations and understand that opportunity
and resources are linked to the betterment of our community. We believe that providing
these opportunities are essential in impacting the lives of individuals and families.
